Dream It – Build It is an effort to bring more STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) based activities to Madison Middle School students. Using the PBS television series and curriculum Design Squad, students will work on hands on engineering challenges with a focus on math, science and the design process, (similar to the scientific method) to develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills. When the curriculum is used in concert with the television series it shows the student the real-life applications of engineering careers that will in turn hopefully encourage pursuing a career in one of the areas STEM.
